Pre-Poo for color treated/permed hair
I found the recipe I was looking for...I'm retarded:My hair gets really dry sometimes,so i started pre-pooing with coconut milk(from the can). Then i started adding oils to it,b4 long i came up with this recipe that helped my thirsty hair and seemed to stretch out my relaxer(makes my hair softer less tangled to minimize damage/breakage).It also makes it soft with great shine...giving new life to your hair.
I use this b4 i wash and leave it in up to overnight depending on much i need it.
half can of coconut milk(thicker the better)
2 large tablespoons of olive oil
1 large of jojoba oil
2 good squirts of your favorite conditioner
1 1/2 table spoons of real honey
add one egg
beat it with a fork.
zap it in the micro for 20 seconds until warm enough so it wont burn you.
wrap in saran wrap or plastic cap and rinse out from 1 hour to overnight depending on your damage.
...today I FINALLY went and got my hair professionally done...something I plan to have done regularly from here on out now that I've found a great place here in Buford (recommended to me by Sheena who it was recommended by by a lady at her church). My hair has been really damaged and I've been wearing it in a ponytail for the last 2-3 weeks (not to mention the constant post-baby shedding). I explained to my new stylist the goals I had for my hair, and I was VERY glad that she mapped out a plan for us to get my hair to optimum growth. Also, the black color kind of was stripped because of the relaxer, but she gave me a rinse (for free), and she also cut my layers back in for free too! Anywho, ( here are the pictures!Collapse )
These are pictures of my hair, taken last night after a fresh dye job. I couldn't get to my flat iron (Jason was sleeping and I didn't want to wake him), so I just had to curl it with my new ceramic curling iron. God only knows how long it will be once I get a relaxer in a few weeks, cause it's been AGES since I had a perm, and my hair is NAPPY!!!!( My Hair Growth!Collapse )
